What is Hemp?
Hemp seed oil comes from, you guessed it, hemp. It does not contain any detectable delta-9-tetrahydrocannabolinol (THC). 

Hemp seed oil originally came from Canada but is now grown throughout the world. It is considered one of the most nutritional oils available. 

The green color in hemp seed oil is a result of the high level of chlorophyll that is naturally present in the seeds.  

Hemp Actions and Benefits
Hemp seed oil is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It is rich in protein and polyunsaturated fatty acids, omega 6, omega 3.  The fatty acids and the balance of omega 6 and omega 3 nourish and moisturize the skin. Since the composition of hemp oil is very similar to the lipids found in the skin, it is an excellent natural emollient and moisturizer.

How does Hemp work? 
Hemp can be added to any dog care product for its exceptional moisturizing properties. Hemp seed oil increases elasticity, manageability, and shine. It is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, most notably, gamma-linolenic acid and stearidonic acid, known to reduce symptoms of skin conditions including dry skin. 

How do we use Hemp?
We use hemp for its natural ability to moisturize of the skin in our organic nose and paw healing balm and in our hemp dog shampoo for its ability to make your dog's coat look shiny!

Our hemp is organic, the highest grade of hemp seed oil.  As an organic oil, it was grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. 

Is hemp safe? 
Yes. Safe and non-toxic, and non-irritant
